Exalt! has been rescheduled
Due to the inclement weather (and I’d like to think that it’s also because I’m ill), Exalt! has been rescheduled for December 14th, at 7 p.m. If you see this before then, please spread the word!
Thanks!

We are going to do a service project this Sunday after the noon mass from 2-5 with a group called neighbors assisting neighbors. We will meet at St.Cletus after the noon mass and leave from there for a location in north county and return to St.Cletus by 5:30pm. If you want to come and help out, just fill out the permission form attached here and bring it with you this Sunday.

Just look at how happy Oakes is doing service work. Don’t you want to be happy like Oakes??

Pictures of the retreat are already up.
If you have some you’d like to have added, get them to me or Tony as soon as you can.
Ah, the lovely post-retreat hangover. My absolute least favorite part of retreats.
It happens every time, and every time, it sneaks up on me. The hangover shows no signs of occuring during the weekend. No signs. And then, I get home.
Suddenly, I don’t want to do anything. I don’t want to play one of my favorite video game series of all time. I don’t want to go watch football with my roommates, who I haven’t seen in 3 days, and who I love hanging out with very much. I don’t want to watch television, listen to music, anything. I’m tired, physically exhausted, but I don’t *want* to sleep.
What I do want to do, and, it seems, the ONLY thing I want to do, is to find a way to capture that collection of moments that I just got back from, and replay them over and over again. I just want to stop the world and just be with those people for what could be an eternity. To laugh with those people, to play, to rest, to eat, to talk, to share, to walk, to dance, to sing, to praise, to worship…to just be.
Yup, I have a post-retreat hangover.
But as my friend told me last night, “If that’s the worst part, then things went pretty well.”
And things certainly did go well.
